A busy Sunshine Coast café is hiring a full-time Chef for its breakfast and lunch kitchen.

The job is Chef, based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Pay is listed at $85,000 to $95,000 a year. It is full-time, with mostly day shifts. The café is independently owned and well rated. Its menu is creative. Ingredients are high quality and a lot is made in-house.

Experience level is open. Chefs, Senior Cooks ready to move up, and Sous Chef or Head Chef candidates can all apply. Duties grow with your skills and leadership. The kitchen is fast and high volume. Key responsibilities

  • Cook breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard
  • Keep plates fresh, consistent and well presented
  • Handle prep and keep the kitchen running efficiently
  • Support food safety, hygiene and stock control
  • Work with the team through rushes, share menu and kitchen improvement ideas, and take on leadership, training and kitchen management when needed
