The role is suitable for developing apprentices, Job Ready Program candidates, qualified mechanics and overseas automotive professionals with relevant experience. Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate their practical knowledge and previous work exposure as part of building a credible pathway into the Australian automotive industry.

Requirements

• • Complete vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• • Carry out mechanical repairs and replacement of vehicle components
• • Inspect vehicles and assess mechanical condition
• • Diagnose mechanical faults and identify underlying issues
• • Perform automotive diagnostic testing and fault finding
• • Use workshop tools, equipment and diagnostic systems correctly
• • Determine appropriate repair and maintenance solutions
• • Complete assigned work efficiently and to required quality standards
• • Check completed repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy
• • Follow workshop safety procedures and established processes
• • Work cooperatively with other mechanics and workshop staff
• • Maintain an organised and professional work environment
• • Continue developing automotive knowledge and technical capability
