An established automotive service business in New South Wales is looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic who can bring dependable technical skills and genuine workshop experience to its team. The focus is on finding mechanics whose professional background can be clearly verified and whose practical abilities align with the demands of the role. Whether your experience has been gained in Australia or overseas, your qualifications, employment history and hands-on mechanical knowledge will help demonstrate your suitability. You’ll work across vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance in an established automotive environment where reliable workmanship and attention to detail matter.
Requirements
- • Diagnose mechanical faults and identify the underlying cause of vehicle problems
- • Inspect engines, transmissions, steering systems and other mechanical components
- • Carry out detailed inspections to identify worn, damaged or defective parts
- • Remove and dismantle mechanical assemblies for inspection and repair
- • Repair, replace and rebuild vehicle components as required
- • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- • Complete oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups and routine mechanical servicing
- • Use computerised diagnostic equipment to assist with vehicle fault diagnosis
- • Apply manufacturer specifications and technical service information when completing repairs
- • Reassemble engines and mechanical components following repairs
- • Test and adjust repaired systems to confirm correct operation
- • Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical work required to maintain roadworthiness
- • Ensure completed repairs meet appropriate safety and workmanship standards
- • Maintain an organised, safe and professional workshop environment
- • Work effectively with other members of the automotive team
