We are looking for a Tyre Fitter / Mechanic to join an established automotive aftermarket operation in New South Wales, Australia. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who understands workshop standards and can confidently handle tyre, wheel, brake and clutch-related work. Key responsibilities
- Perform tyre fitting and wheel alignment services
- Carry out brake and clutch repairs and associated mechanical work
- Machine discs, drums and flywheels
- Receive, inspect and prepare automotive parts for dispatch
- Organise tyres, brakes, clutches and other products in designated storage areas
- Assist the sales team with day-to-day operational requirements
- Assist with deliveries when required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Complete assigned work independently and to a consistent standard
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and support team operations
- Follow workplace health, safety and operational procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant automotive or mechanical experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience within the automotive aftermarket
- Practical knowledge of tyres, brakes, clutches and wheel services
- Tyre fitting and wheel alignment experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Reliable, motivated and professional attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Current driver's licence
- Australian mechanical licence is an advantage but not essential
- Genuine and verifiable employment history
- Must have Australian work rights or be eligible for employer sponsorship
- Willingness to make a genuine long-term commitment to the position
