Key responsibilities
- Take strategic and operational responsibility for branch performance
- Lead business growth and market development initiatives
- Develop new commercial opportunities and customer relationships
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Drive sales, revenue and profitability
- Manage multiple operational departments and functions
- Ensure excellent customer service and operational delivery
- Lead, motivate and retain high-performing employees
- Create a positive and accountable workplace culture
- Develop and mentor current and future leaders
- Champion safety, wellbeing and employee engagement
- Review business performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Implement strategies to improve productivity and profitability
- Represent the business within industry and professional networks
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership
- Support long-term business planning and organisational growth
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a senior branch, operations or general management position
- Proven commercial leadership experience
- Strong industry networks within heavy transport, equipment or related industries
- Experience in complex multi-functional operations
- Strong track record of business development and revenue growth
- Demonstrated success managing profitability and commercial KPIs
- Excellent customer and stakeholder relationship skills
- Strong people leadership and team development experience
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution skills
- High-level communication and negotiation capabilities
- Ability to build trust and inspire high performance
- Strong safety and employee wellbeing focus
- Relevant management or industry qualifications advantageous
- Ability to relocate to New Zealand where required
