Requirements
- • Prepare and cook Japanese dishes to established restaurant standards
- • Complete daily preparation and mise en place before service
- • Maintain consistent flavour, quality, portion control and presentation
- • Apply appropriate cooking techniques across the restaurant menu
- • Organise preparation priorities to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- • Coordinate cooking activities during busy service periods
- • Follow approved recipes, preparation methods and kitchen procedures
- • Assist with developing new dishes and seasonal menu offerings
- • Select, inspect and prepare ingredients to the required standard
- • Maintain clean, organised and fully operational kitchen stations
- • Ensure food is handled, stored and prepared safely
- • Monitor ingredient consumption and identify stock requirements
- • Assist with maintaining adequate food supplies for daily operations
- • Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements
- • Communicate effectively with other kitchen and restaurant team members
- • Contribute to an efficient, respectful and professional kitchen environment
