Job description
A Restaurant Manager is needed in Canberra, ACT, to run a busy venue built around weddings, corporate events and high tea.
The role is full-time and pays $80,000 - $95,000 per year. Shifts fall on nights and weekends. Sponsorship is available.
You take full operational charge of the venue. It is part of an established hospitality and events group with venues in Sydney and Canberra. Your days cover service on the floor, the front-of-house team, event delivery, revenue and compliance.

Key responsibilities
- Run daily operations: high tea, weddings, corporate functions and private events
- Lead, roster, train and grow the front-of-house staff
- Work with the General Manager, events and kitchen teams so events go smoothly
- Keep service, venue presentation and guest feedback handling at a high level, while driving revenue, controlling costs and managing WHS and RSA compliance
Requirements
- Proven track record as Restaurant, Venue or Events Manager, premium hospitality
- Warm, approachable personality
- At ease with guests and the team
- Confident, hands-on leader who owns operations fully
- Excellent English, spoken and written
- Strong organisational skills, sharp eye for detail
- Available nights and weekends, including every weekend, public holidays and peak event periods
