Sydney needs a Head Chef to launch the kitchen of a brand-new steak and seafood bar.
It is a full-time Head Chef post in Sydney, NSW, paying $85,000 - $110,000 per year. The venue seats 90, runs an open kitchen beside a lively bar and keeps things casual near the beach.

Key responsibilities
- Own the kitchen end to end, from daily operations to team leadership
- Finish and refine the launch menu across steak, seafood and sauces made on site
- Hire, train and fire up a strong brigade, and drive quality, consistency and pace during service
- Run ordering, food cost, prep systems and suppliers
Requirements
- Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef track record that is proven
- 5+ years in fast-paced venues
- Loves cooking
- Rates premium local ingredients highly
- Leads in a way that motivates and mentors staff and builds team culture
- Strong financial and operational acumen, and can start immediately on a ground-up build
