  • Maintain accurate kitchen, food preparation and compliance records
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and workplace health procedures are consistently followed
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house personnel to support smooth service
  • Identify opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency and operational standards
  • Provide practical coaching and ongoing development to less-experienced chefs
  • Maintain a professional, organised and positive kitchen environment
  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen management and operational requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years' professional kitchen experience
  • At least 2–3 years' experience in a senior chef, sous chef or supervisory position

  • Advanced technical cooking skills and knowledge of contemporary cuisine
  • Proven ability to lead, train and develop kitchen team members
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisation and time-management capabilities
  • Ability to maintain exceptional standards during busy and high-pressure services
  • Experience with food costing, stock control and kitchen inventory management
  • Awareness of modern culinary trends and sustainable cooking practices
  • Relevant culinary qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent professional training preferred
  • Strong commitment to quality, consistency and professional development
  • Currently working in Australia with a valid visa
  • Ability to provide appropriate evidence of professional experience and qualifications
