Job description
A premium hospitality venue in Queensland is seeking talented and ambitious Chefs to join a kitchen team entering an exciting new phase. Key responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking food to premium quality standards
- Ensuring consistency in flavour, presentation and portion control
- Completing daily preparation and service requirements
- Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene practices
- Managing assigned kitchen duties efficiently and professionally
- Supporting quality control across all food preparation areas
- Assisting with stock management and reducing food waste
- Following established kitchen procedures and recipes
- Collaborating with Chefs and other hospitality team members
- Contributing to menu innovation and continuous improvement
- Training and supporting junior team members when required
Requirements
- Relevant commercial kitchen experience is preferred
- Recognised cookery qualifications are advantageous
- Suitable for candidates ranging from apprentices to experienced senior Chefs
- Strong technical cooking skills appropriate to the position level
- High attention to food quality and presentation
- Good understanding of food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Motivation to develop a long-term culinary career
- Leadership and mentoring skills are desirable for senior candidates
