Job description

A respected hospitality business in Western Australia is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join its kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is an opportunity for a skilled professional to take an active role in a busy kitchen, producing quality food while supporting efficient operations and maintaining excellent standards. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial kitchen experience and the ability to perform confidently in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

• • Take an active role in the day-to-day operation of the commercial kitchen
• • Prepare, cook and present meals in line with established quality standards
• • Ensure food is prepared efficiently and delivered within service timeframes
• • Use a variety of ingredients effectively across a diverse menu
• • Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation
• • Assist with the development and updating of seasonal menus
• • Manage stock rotation and storage appropriately
• • Identify opportunities to reduce food wastage
• • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• • Assist with staff selection, training and development
• • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• • Contribute to a positive, professional and supportive workplace
