We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who is ready to take their culinary career into an international professional environment in New Zealand. You will play a hands-on role in daily food preparation and service while taking responsibility for the performance and organization of your assigned section. Requirements

  • • Take responsibility for the effective operation of an assigned kitchen section
  • • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
  • • Complete daily preparation and mise en place before service
  • • Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to meet daily kitchen requirements
  • • Contribute to the preparation and execution of daily specials
  • • Assist with seasonal and international-style menu items
  • • Use ingredients efficiently while maintaining quality and minimizing unnecessary waste
  • • Ensure dishes are prepared consistently according to kitchen expectations
  • • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
  • • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times
  • • Monitor ingredient levels and identify stock requirements
  • • Communicate ordering needs and shortages to senior kitchen staff
  • • Assist with receiving and correctly storing food and kitchen supplies
  • • Maintain effective stock rotation throughout chillers, freezers, and storage areas
  • • Keep storage areas organized to support efficient kitchen operations
  • • Work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods
  • • Participate in kitchen meetings, training sessions, supplier visits, and team activities
  • • Expand knowledge of New Zealand produce and locally sourced ingredients
  • • Communicate professionally with guests when required
  • • Work cooperatively with chefs and support staff across the kitchen
  • • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
  • • Assist with additional kitchen responsibilities as directed by senior chefs
