Key responsibilities

  • Operate Press Brake and Turret CNC machinery according to production requirements
  • Set up equipment for sheet-metal forming, bending and straightening operations
  • Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings and specifications
  • Measure and inspect components to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain consistent production results
  • Process materials efficiently while minimising waste
  • Meet production schedules, quantity requirements and delivery deadlines
  • Monitor machine performance and identify operational issues
  • Report quality concerns, equipment faults or production problems
  • Maintain safe and efficient machine operation throughout each shift
  • Follow workplace health, safety and quality procedures
  • Keep machinery and the surrounding work area clean and organised
  • Work collaboratively with production and supervisory teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and efficient Press Shop operations

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience operating Press Brake and/or Turret machinery
  • Previous experience in sheet-metal fabrication or manufacturing
  • Practical CNC machine operation and/or setup experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and job specifications
  • Knowledge of sheet-metal bending, forming and straightening processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Ability to work accurately while meeting production requirements
  • Good practical problem-solving and mechanical skills
  • Strong workplace safety awareness
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining production standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work a permanent Monday-to-Friday night shift
  • Ability to provide verifiable identity and employment information
  • Relevant work experience must be capable of independent verification
  • Overseas candidates must meet applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements
