Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrician for a full-time opportunity with an established electrical services business in New Zealand. Key responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs and servicing
  • Investigate electrical faults and complete accurate fault diagnosis
  • Install, test and maintain electrical systems and equipment
  • Undertake commercial electrical installation work where required
  • Assess electrical systems and identify maintenance requirements
  • Read and work from electrical drawings, plans and technical specifications
  • Use electrical tools and testing equipment safely and correctly
  • Complete work in accordance with relevant safety and quality requirements
  • Maintain consistent standards of workmanship across all assignments
  • Manage allocated work efficiently and meet expected deadlines
  • Work independently while contributing effectively to team projects
  • Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and organised working environment
  • Deliver dependable service and contribute to strong customer relationships

Requirements

  • Recognised electrical trade qualification
  • Relevant experience working as a qualified electrician
  • Strong maintenance and electrical fault-finding experience
  • Demonstrable hands-on trade capability
  • Verifiable employment history relevant to the position
  • Commercial electrical experience is an advantage
  • Good understanding of electrical safety and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Professional attitude with a dependable work ethic
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
  • Ability to provide documentation supporting identity, qualifications and employment experience
