Requirements

• • Lead and coordinate a small road maintenance crew
• • Schedule and prioritise daily maintenance activities
• • Manage routine and reactive road maintenance requirements
• • Inspect road networks and identify defects, hazards and emerging issues
• • Assess risks and determine appropriate maintenance responses
• • Record inspections, defects and work requirements using GPS and tablet systems
• • Coordinate emergency works and incident responses
• • Monitor crew and contractor performance
• • Ensure work is completed safely and to required standards
• • Maintain effective traffic management practices
• • Communicate with clients, contractors and internal teams
• • Coordinate resources and respond to changing operational priorities
• • Participate in an on-call roster
• • Respond to night-time incidents, animal hazards and emergency call-outs
• • Provide practical leadership and support to crew members
• • Make independent decisions when dealing with changing road conditions and urgent maintenance issues
