Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily construction activities and monitor site progress
- Take ownership of assigned project areas and construction deliverables
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist construction trades
- Coordinate civil, marine, structural and public realm interfaces
- Oversee specialist construction activities including piling, fender systems and revetment works
- Coordinate drainage, landscaping and related civil infrastructure works
- Assist with construction programming, scheduling and cost management
- Monitor project performance against planned milestones
- Prepare and maintain ITPs, HIRACs, inspection records and progress reports
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with safety and quality requirements
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Identify constructability challenges and develop practical solutions
- Support continuous improvement across construction processes
- Provide guidance to graduate and junior engineers
- Maintain accurate technical, quality and project documentation
- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed time, cost and quality requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification
- 2–4 years of relevant civil or marine construction experience for Project Engineer roles
- Appropriate senior-level project engineering experience for Senior Project Engineer roles
- Practical site-based construction experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience coordinating subcontractors and site operations
- Understanding of construction programming, cost control and quality assurance
- Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities effectively
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to safety, quality and professional standards
- Hands-on approach with a genuine interest in construction delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
- Professional qualifications and previous experience must be verifiable
- International engineers with relevant qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply
