Job description
A confidential and highly anticipated premium restaurant opening in Sydney, New South Wales is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead its front-of-house operation. This opportunity is suited to a hospitality professional who wants to join an important new venue at an early stage and make a meaningful contribution to how the restaurant operates, delivers service and develops its team. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced hospitality leadership team while taking genuine responsibility for the dining room. You will help establish service standards, develop the front-of-house team and create a consistently exceptional guest experience from the beginning.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and managing all front-of-house service activities
- Establishing premium hospitality and guest service standards
- Managing the restaurant floor during service
- Leading pre-service briefings and daily team communication
- Managing reservations, guest arrivals and table allocation
- Maintaining efficient table flow throughout service
- Building strong working relationships between kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Training, mentoring and developing hospitality staff
- Supporting supervisors and junior managers
- Managing team performance and workplace standards
- Preparing staff rosters and managing labour requirements
- Overseeing stock, compliance and operational reporting
- Building lasting relationships with guests
- Promoting a positive and professional workplace culture
Requirements
- roven experience in a Restaurant Manager or senior Assistant Restaurant Manager role
- Experience in fine dining, hatted or premium hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of high-end restaurant service
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
- Experience managing labour, rostering and daily operations
- A hands-on and floor-focused management style
- Strong professionalism and commercial awareness
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable access to a vehicle
