Key responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor access to secure areas
  • Verify authorised personnel, contractors and visitors
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and maintain awareness across the site
  • Identify suspicious activity, security risks and potential breaches
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and security concerns
  • Maintain a professional and visible security presence
  • Engage respectfully and professionally with personnel and visitors
  • Follow all site security procedures and operational protocols
  • Use sound judgement and remain calm during challenging situations
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, shift logs and security records
  • Escalate incidents and security concerns through the appropriate channels
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship may be required for security clearance eligibility
  • Current QLD Security Licence is required
  • Existing security clearance is highly regarded
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain the required security clearance
  • Ability to complete applicable identity, credential and background verification checks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High standards of integrity, discretion and accountability
  • Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to comply with strict security procedures and confidentiality requirements
  • Previous security experience is desirable
  • Eligible candidates may be considered for employer sponsorship, subject to applicable requirements
