Job description
We are seeking a qualified Endorsed Enrolled Nurse for a verified residential aged care leadership position in Victoria, Australia. This opportunity is suited to nursing professionals who can demonstrate the qualifications, registration and practical capability required to take on greater responsibility within an established care environment. In this role, you will take an active part in coordinating resident care and supporting staff during designated shifts. Working alongside the clinical care team, you will help create a safe, respectful and person-centred environment where residents are supported according to their individual needs, wishes and goals.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of daily care within the allocated residential area
- Lead and support care staff throughout designated shifts
- Ensure resident care is delivered safely and in a person-centred manner
- Support residents according to their individual care needs, preferences and goals
- Provide social and emotional support to promote comfort and wellbeing
- Work closely with nursing and clinical staff to maintain continuity of care
- Assist with medication-related responsibilities within the authorised scope of practice
- Support the management of nutrition and hydration requirements
- Participate in pressure care and other clinical support activities
- Monitor care delivery and assist with the coordination of resident needs
- Provide guidance and practical support to care team members
- Maintain clear and accurate care documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues and relevant stakeholders
- Use workplace technology and care management systems as required
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards
- Promote a respectful, supportive and collaborative workplace culture
Requirements
- Recognised Diploma of Enrolled Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Current AHPRA registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
- Current authority to administer medication within the applicable professional scope
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to provide verifiable evidence of professional qualifications and registration
- Relevant nursing or residential aged care experience
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, guide and support care staff
- Strong commitment to professional integrity and accountability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues
- Commitment to delivering respectful and compassionate care
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
- Ability to use relevant technology and workplace information systems
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
