Job description

An established distribution business in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking a capable Warehouse Manager to take ownership of its warehouse performance, people, systems, inventory, and safety standards. This opportunity is centred on professional credibility and verified experience. As Warehouse Manager, you will play a central role in keeping the operation organised, productive, compliant, and ready to meet customer expectations. Requirements

  • • Oversee the complete daily operation of the warehouse and distribution function
  • • Lead warehouse supervisors and operational employees to achieve consistent performance
  • • Recruit, train, coach, and support warehouse team members
  • • Coordinate labour, workloads, and daily activities according to business priorities
  • • Maintain accurate stock records and oversee inventory control procedures
  • • Plan and coordinate regular stocktakes and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • • Monitor DIFOT, KPIs, productivity, and warehouse service standards
  • • Optimise warehouse layout, storage systems, and available capacity
  • • Coordinate import container receiving and devanning activities
  • • Liaise with Customs, freight companies, shipping providers, and external logistics partners
  • • Manage applicable MPI Facility Operator or Accredited Person responsibilities
  • • Ensure WMS and integrated digital systems support accurate and efficient workflows
  • • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, IT, and other departments to resolve operational requirements
  • • Manage third-party suppliers, contractors, and warehouse service providers
  • • Lead site-wide Health & Safety practices and encourage safe working behaviours
  • • Identify operational risks and implement effective corrective and improvement measures
  • • Ensure warehouse facilities, equipment, and resources remain fit for purpose
  • • Promote a workplace culture based on accountability, respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement
